Rabbi Yaakov Weingarten
There are very few
human beings who are not only noble but also are a minefield of knowledge. One
such person is Rabbi Yaakov Weingarten. Rabbi Yaakov is a well-known figure in
the Jewish community.
Born in Jerusalem to a prominent and renowned rabbinical
family, at the age of 24, he was efficient in English as well as Hebrew and was
appointed rabbi of hotels Warner. After the conclusion of his mission in
Lebanon, he was appointed Rabbi of the Jordan Valley, a position which he
enjoyed immensely. It was in Jordan Valley that he wrote his first books on
Laws of Shabbat. Little did he know that after the success of his first book, he
would go on to write another book on Laws of Shabbat.
An extraordinary man, an
eminent scholar and a large-hearted person, Rabbi Yaakov Weingarten is a rabbi
who teaches his congregation all about being kind and compassionate towards
other human beings.
Along with being a noble individual, Rabbi Yaakov
Weingarten is vocal about global warming and how the ill effects of greenhouse
gases are destroying our planet. According to him, we should care about our
planet so that we can offer a livable and beautiful planet to our children
rather than a wasteland.
Along with being an eminent scholar, he is an avid reader of British and American literature. Living in New York with his wife, he has always felt a significant presence of literature all around him. He reads not only pulp fiction as his hobby but also loves to read serious writers as well.
